About Facts News Group

We do the homework most people won't.

Facts News Group is an independent newsroom covering crime, policing, and the justice system through the public record. We obtain body camera footage, court filings, police reports, and arrest records directly from the agencies that hold them, and we report what those records show. We don't hand down verdicts. We present the evidence and let our audience draw their own conclusions.

What We Cover

Body Cam · Investigations · Crime & Courts

Our Standards

• Sourced to the Record. Every story is verified against original documents, including court dockets, official reports, and agency releases.
• Both Sides, When Presented. When the prosecution and the defense, or an agency and the person involved, each give their account, we report both.
• Clear on Case Status. Some footage is released while a case is still open. When that happens, we say where the case stands, and anyone charged is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
• Corrections. If we get something wrong, we fix it promptly and add a dated correction note at the top of the story.

Submit a Case

Know a case that deserves a closer look? Submit it through our secure Submit a Case form. You can stay completely anonymous. Our team reviews every submission, and we never publish who sent a tip without permission. We can't cover every case, but every one is read.
